Anybody use these steering locks or the one's that cover ur handbrake and gears? Do they help lower your insurance?
 
i dont bother on the almera, but on the fiesta i was driving i had to, as they are so easy to steal, wasnt insurance approved but was a visual deterrent.
 
Don't particulary (sp) need one was just a passing thought since saw a car with one and thought I havnt seen those in a while and wondered if it would make a worthwhile difference in my insurance. So far got quoted £900ish for Gti in my own name, crash declared and fully comp
 
nope.

and contrary to popular belief,some companies offer a discount if you upgrade your alarm from standard, but not many.
 
Ive got a disklock, cost about £100 mate and I told the insurance about it and they practically said ''So what'' lol...
