Sticky throttle cable

I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this problem.

If i'm driving on a hot day, after about an 1 hour or so the throttle cable gets really sticky.

As a new driver it's not only annoying, but it puts me off driving the car.

My Almera has done 120k so it's high mileage, and as far as i know the cable is standard.

While i could strip it down and smother it in GT85 or something, would it be better to just get a new cable from Nissan?

Cheers.

I'd say just get a new one, if it's never been changed it may have stretched slightly over the years, so you might as well buy a new one and kill 2 birds with one stone!
