Sub in spare wheel well

Are there any problems with mounting a sub in the spare wheel well? Will be creating a false floor n stuff to hid the amps underneath, but will the sub need to be sealed in there or wot? Or will the false floor create its own sealing for it?

its quite complicating doing this because subs needs a certain amount of space to operate efficiently. i wouldnt mount the amps underneath the false floor because they need some air circulation inorder to cool the amp when the volume is high. i would mount the amp on the back of the rear seats.

i believe the sub would have to be completely sealed as if there are air gaps the sub wont perform as well. also it depends on wot sub you have and how much space is recommended for that sub.

what sub are you looking to put in the wheel well??

Dont have the details to hand, but its 12", one of these unless i get something bigger

hmm.... have you got any model details at all???
looked up one that looks like that and it has the maximum output of 2000 watts and the recommended sealed enclosure is 45 litres.
you see this is where it get complicated because you will have to work out the volume of you wheel well and then raise it up.

my exams finish next week and then i should be working on the car and i will try and find out!!
