Subtle, but very useful modification

Hey everyone, just thought I'd show you what I finally got round to fitting this weekend after about a month after receiving it from eBay US:

I'm quite amazed how much I use it! And the coin holder! :)

Yes, you need to sand off the little thing on the bottom of the cupholder so it fits in, but you dont need to screw it or anything as it has prongs on each side that hold it in.

Just remove the front panel, unscrew the old blanking plate, put the front panel back on, then push the cup holder through until it clicks in. You may need to wiggle it about a bit to get the push buttons to work properly, but it certainly isn't much hassle :)

James.

I paid about £20 in total including postage, but I think i got a bit of a deal! lol

I fitted one and only ever used the coin holder, I removed it and moved the HU down to make room for a touch screen.

I guess it's good for when you have your little meets in the Maccy D's car park though eh :P ;)

 what are you implying!

It was just me, at about 3pm on a Saturday, and I was hungry, so I thought it a decent time to get a picture!

For the record I NEVER have and NEVER will go to a McDonald's meet!

Me neither, I go to Burger King, way nicer food! :P :D (just a pity the nearest one`s about 30 mins down the road!)

Mine was from a Ford Taurus. Ignore the big screw heads, I had to use those temporarily while I got some metal brackets from a cubby hole from another P10. It screws in with those. It also goes in before you refit the trim so when the correct brackets are used you don't see the fixings at all or the front part of the holder.

Nah I assume so, I just chose the Saab 9000 because i've seen previous reports of it fitting before :)

I can't guarantee that others would work though.

FYI the US Ford Taurus has the same cup holder :)

Edit: Can't believe I got beaten to it! LOL

I got a plain double DIN one from someone on the NPOC. It was great till I broke it :(

Those ones in your pics have what I consider a serious problem. The first thing I would be doing is spraying the button that says coin black so it is blank. Talk about asking for it, might as well have a neon sign saying "I leave money in the car" :)
