technical(ish) question...... 1) Does anybody know if it is possible to get a hub conversion for a ;96 almera SI or a phase1/ 2 in general.
Or would one have to be fabricated? may seem wierd/ pointless, but im just curious.
Would be 4x100 to 5x114.3 (same offset....et 38)

2) Would an 8"x17" wide wheel/tyre fit on the rear?

(I have had 7.5"x19" on with only minimal rubbing with people in the back)

Please dont think im too stupid LOL! im just curious to find out what info i may or may not get?

At a quick estimate you would need either a Honda Prelude or similar to use as a gineau pig. Offset may change if you adapt though?? NeilSR runs 8x18'' Volk rims and i dont think he reported many problems, if any?
 
i aint much of a mechanic/ engineer myself, thats the main problem. So its not as if im able to do a lot of work, if any myself. :confused:
To cut a long story short i have got set of Advan Super Rcing 2's! toyota MR2 fitment, hence 5x114.3. :eek:
Not to everyones taste I know, but they are the absoloute bollocks as far as rims go. (for anybody who knows what they are) ;)
