Remove the glovebox. Should provide better access, also do your best to ignore the Haynes Comic.

I have seen one on pulsar group of australia and in place of the tray there is a similar thing but has 2 cup holders and has a compartment with a lid on it too i cant find the pictures but its deffo an N15
