Timing belt or timing chain??

My mera is showing signs of the timing belt going (screeching) however have heard word it is chain and not belt driven... any pointers please?? 03 pulse mera model fanx

Its chain.

Will probably be alternator belt.

Ah cheers for that although wounder... what other signs would it show if it was the alternator belt going mate?

Just check the condition of it,looking for any signs of cracking etc,if you see any, then it needs replacing.If the belt looks fine,check the tension of it...might be lucky and it just needs nipping up a bit more via the adjuster.
