Total loss of electrics during radio swap

My 05 Almera SVE radio stopped working. I have bought a replacement via Ebay. Seems to be the correct one although the plug in sockets are the same the positions on the back of the unit are different.
Nothing much happened as I waited for the invitation to add a new code. Then when I disconnected the unit I lost all electrics, yes all electrics. Nothing works now, no lights no ignition, the lot is dead. I can't see any main fuse that has gone or is there some kind of trip somewhere?

Any suggestions must gratefully welcomed!

Check the battery fuse, pull em out and check as they tend to go near the bottom.

There isn't a particular fuse labelled 'Battery' in there but all are intact. So no joy so far!

All the fuses in there seem to be intact. I'm at a loss where to look next

Very odd indeed, kinda hard to suggest anything else without looking at the car.

Dont forget there is a bunch of fuses on the drivers side bottom part of the dash. Its behind a small little useless small storage bin that you need to remove

Just to update and end this. After double checking every fuse everywhere I, in desperation, turned to the battery itself. The spare battery in and everything worked again. No explanation why it just worked! Thanks for all the suggestions anyway.
