tyres? 205/40/r17

maxxis are a new budget tyre, meant to be decent too.
Uniroyal RS1 FTW!!!! Best tyre on the market IMHO.
I've been using Federal Supersteel 595s at 205/40/17 from mytyres.co.uk for a good while now - 40 quid each shipped from Germany in about 4 days.
Road noise is a bit loud and it seems quite a soft compound but otherwise can't fault them for the price. For everyday hardish driving they have never let me down even had one run flat for a couple of days (at motorway speeds) without me really noticing (just thought my tracking must have been off).
Love the rim protectors and they look good but not too sure whether it's my wheels or the tyres that mean I tend to have to get them balanced twice before they are A-ok.
You can get better tyres (and pay the price) but with the amount of nails and shit around the building sites near my work and home these are fine for me.
