Ve inlet/throttle body

Hi,

Just wondering if the complete VE inlet manifold fits straight on to the GTi head?

If so, does it give any performance gains at all. Got one sitting now after taking it off my Ve and it could be of interest to a mate of mine who rallies a Gti.

It doesn't bolt on but on the dash someone welded the flange from a lowport plenum to the ve intake mani and seen good gains. Not sure if the head was port matched to the manifold though
