I used to get insured with a us company when i had mine but a friend of mine is having trouble finding anywhere and as he isnt american he is unable to insure with my company

probably not relevant as i think all but one of the vzr's on this site are irish owned and insured...per capita we have way more jap scrap on our roads so its easier to get insured..im with Quinn direct if that means anything

how the f*ck did the two of you's get insured with Quinn? i asked them, but they said no cause i was under 25 looking for insurance on a 'high performance vehicle' i told him to go fuck himself, i'm insured (fully) through a broker in South Dublin if that means anything!

All depends on age and no claims and all of that, also if your an existing customer its easier.Last year i couldn't get insured with much with quinn but now they will insure me on just about anything except skylines  .
I always get an online quote it seems to work out way cheaper, saved 800euro this year by going online!

Once you hit the magical age of 21 a lot of options opens up for you - platinum cards, bigger loans and import insurance... Mind you it depends on the company as well... Some say 21 some say 25

insured and all mods declared with hibernian, getting trade insurance soon so it wont really matter then :D

Im 22 goin on 23,2 years no claims and full licence for just over a year now!
Online just select jn15! Mines about 1100euro!

damo, donal I HATE YOU GUYS LOL

hehe, i'm just 21, 3 years ncb, 3 years full license and still being raped for 1750, although it does run out in december so i think a bit of shopping around is in order!!!
damo, how did you get 640? 1.6 sri import ;)

 what really gets me is why the asshole on the phone with quinn turned around and told me that he couldnt insure me cause i was 20 at the time.
i turned around to him after he said that and said, well what if it was a 1.6 sri and he said it would be no change from my current policy (was a 1.4 mera att) was tempted to take it, but conscience got to me and i wanted to get it insured properly

id go for the 1.6 sri option and worry about it later. my autechs insured as a 2.0 gti cos thats what it looks like and the standard and autech engines are identical side by side.

was thinking that mate, but if i'm given a producer by the gaurds and they take down my details as a 'Nissan Pulsar VZR' and then sees that it says its a 'Nissan ALMERA SRI' on the policy when i produce, surely i'd get a bollicking!!!??
not worth it for me, also my log book states pulsar and not almera import

As far as i know my car is just insured as "Nissan pulsar import 1.6" they have the chassis number and engine code so im well covered if a guard decides to get ratty.

Tell them its a pulsar import jn15,as they don't list a vz-r on there website but they do have jn15.If you get turned down even once or twice keep ringing back every now and then you'd be surprised how one person could say no then another would say no problem!
