VZR or GTI

im gonna get a new car next year was thinking about a golf r32 but i wanna almera again just dunno what one the gti or the pulsar vzr i want it fast so dunno what i should get a modded gti or a vzr?? and idea's i want a vzr because there faster but if somthing goes wrong are thery harder/more expensive to fix?
 
Get a v6 4Motion golf. Cheaper to buy so more money for mods. R32's are overrated IMO. Have taken a ride in a couple, interior is gorgeous but performance didnt 'wow' me.
 
tbh vzr is not in the same class as an r32...it is faster than a standard gti but you will be limited by mods..but there are guys in the states running sr16ve's with turbo's...probably 300++whp...and shed loads of cash but
 
im sure an R32 does a 1/4 mile in 14.2 ish standard, i was readin a volkswagon mag the other day and seen its time but can't remember 100%
 
Yep i think 14.2 is the standard time......nice engine, much to heavy though........

There really isnt much between a standard VZ-R and mildly modded GTi. The VZ-R has the horses but alot less torque. For the price of a VZ-R, get a GTi, zorst, header, intake, cams. It will be faster than a VZ-R.

Unless you go for the Autech, which is a different story altogether.
 
wouldnt pay the money for the r32, theres nicer looking and faster cars out there and there a golf which has that sort of i think im exclusive but im actually quite common look to it now. go for another GTi with a few mods, better looking than a golf imo, plenty of potential and you dont have to spend the rest of your live paying back a loan for a car.

cams, manifold and a decent exhaust should make it alot different to drive, strip it out like rowdy and it would be a performance bargain and there not something you would see often which is nice
