fancy sum corbeau or cobra seats i seen in halfords. chatted to the bloke and that and he checked and they dont do any subframes for the mera  lol.. he said you could try and take your old ones off your seats and try using them if u can. my question is.. has anyboady done this or modified the existing ones (if you can even get them off) and fitted them. also with my car bein 3 door and the seats being a fixed back will they be able to slide along the frame so people can jump in the back or not??

anybodys help wud be great as loadsa modding to my car goin on next week it'll be off the road so i could get them and fit them whilst its not drivable..

cheers :)

Sure quite a few people on ere have had buckets fitted (although they need custom frames).

Secondly , i can imagin they'd make gettin in & out a bastad so recliners would be a better bet. Also im pretty certain there will be cheaper places than halfords

cool. where else could i try for them like? i only really wanted to spend about £300 on them its only a few occasions where people get in and out of the back like.. if i could just slide em right 4ward it would be alrite.. would they slide on the original subframe? im guessing a yes??

You could convert the original subframes to fit yer , would just require a bit of welding so the bolt holes line up to the new seat.

Is that £300 for a pair by the way ? cos that aint to bad for off the shelf new ones.

Might be worth a look (sure hes sellin more colors)

Doesnt really matter if their Cobra , Corbeau , Recaro or Sparco to be honest , all good , all expensive & all gonna be a bitch to fit lol

each seat is £115 for the cobra ones and i think it was about the same for the corbeau ones. they are really nice actually not cheap things only thing im worried about is space for people to get in the back.. al have to either just go for it or wait till sum others reply. thanks for your help though mate. off to bed now..

I've got the daytonnas in mine, and when i let people in the back, even though the seat 'flips' forward, it still a bit of a cunt to get into the back, even when i slid the base forward too, that said, its not impossible, and if its only odd occasions then it should be fine
maybes the best way to fit some would be to
remove old seat and remove the subframe
refit subframe in your car
cut off at the lowest level you can but keeping the 'legs' the same hight at each corner
then weld a peice of steel on each of the mounts, joining the front 2 toegther and rear 2(horizontally not verticaly)
then using universal runners, bolt them to the steel bars vertically and then the seats to the runners

Are these any good then bud ? , was lookin at gettin a pair in "Tan" , then a rear seat re-trim to match.
