Nah I think he's just asking where it is.

Unfortunately i'm not completely sure, will try and get a look in the haynes later this evening when I go home.
 
On the twin airbag system the sensor unit is in the centre console or under the drivers seat, it's not really clear in the illustration. On the single airbag it is part of the steering wheel I believe...well the FSM says not to remove it from the wheel. The single airbag system doesn't have any diagnosis mode like the twin one does.
 
ok thanks i wanna change my stearing wheel so wanted to know were it was to disconect it will have a look around,(i have a singlw airbag, phase 2 gti)
