I have an Si 1999 S reg. 3dr blue.

its got 17" wheels on it, n when i full lock, they rub against the arch. i think this is because of the incorrect offset. im not sure what the offset of the wheels are yet.

what do i do?? help!

and also which induction kit would give the best performance enhancements and best sound?

thanks

sorry for the shitty pics

The N15 is
PCD 4 x 100
Offset 35...42
C/Bore 59.0

You will probably find that it rubs on the splash guard. There is a little ridge in it (hard to explain) if you have a look at, you'll see that the guard isn't flat it has a hump init

as for induction kit, most people on here go for pipercross. This gives a more deeper induction sound, where as a metalic one gives a more raspy sound.

Check out Naylors little guide Here

yeah it does rub on the splash guard. and it can be taken off. is that what you have done?

also rubs a little on the body, just above the splash guard.

what should i do? change the wheels for better offset? spacers? or grind some of the body away ?

Rubs on the body?

quite a few people on here are running 18" and have no problem with it rubbing on the body. Paul F has 19" and his dont even rub on the body.
something dont sound right
how much is it lowered by?
what are the profile of your tyres?

my splash guards are still on, it dont rub on the guard on full lock, it rubs just before full lock

theyre 215/45/17. n i dont know how much its lowered. previous owner CUT THE SPRINGS!

so im guna get some propper lowerin springs. rubs like a basterd i tell ya

well no wonder you're having problems.. the guy probably cut the springs a little too far and with them being softer than uprated springs make it sit even lower.. plus you're oversizing your tires which is less than good

if you're going for width 215 you should not have more than a 40 profile (1.3% bigger), you can even go with a 35 profile on 215 tires (2.3% smaller)

the wheels go more than 5% larger with 45 profile than a 40 profile on 215 tires.
that means roughly 1 inch larger in diameter than it should be.

205/40/17 is the best option for our cars since it's less than 0,1% larger than the original rolling radius... and since our cars don't weigh so much and don't have THAT much power you get more drag from wider tires than what is good.. unless you want helluva traction.. like me :)

i'm running 215/40/17 (1.3% too big) lowered 35mm on H&R. no rubbing at all.

my tip is check how low it sits.. didn't look that low to me.. and switch to tires with a slightly lower profile or one step thinner.

thats changin all tyres.... call it £50 a tyre. £200

lol

will sort out suspension first. if that doesnt solve the prob then i guess i'lll have to get new tyres or perhaps new wheels :(
