OK, here goes.....

What style do you think is best for a car?

Full body kit / race style - looks like a thousand MPH

Street sleeper - looks like your granny's shopping car, but goes like sh*t off a stick?

I think that although the street racer look produces some of the worst cars, it also makes some of my favourites. However the street sleeper will always have a place in my heart (Fiat Uno Turbos etc) just due to their 'surprise' effect!

Hmmmmm For me a sleeper look.

If I had a track car I want it to look good if that helps on performance
(aerodynamics and etc)

I think if you posted an 'inbetween' option a load of people would vote for that.

Subtle, tasteful mods yet not giving too much away!

I vote inbetween, e.g Almera GTi, pretty unknown but quite fast. And looks well smart.

Not bodykit(unless drift kit) and not ultimate sleeper e.g cosworth engine in a tranny van.

I think maybe it's because I'm into film (where stuff like speed and power can be faked) but although I do like street sleepers, I don't think I could be arsed driving/owning one myself as my only car, I like to modify the looks to what I want.

depends on the car i think but if pushed for a choice i think full body kit, wouldn't want to look like i had stolen my grans car although that does have comedy value

I must admit I'm far more the sleeper style, but making it look nice still. It's all about the unexpected power though for me! :)

Perfect examples are Little Bandit and the March ST ;)

sleeper style for me :D

cant beat a car that looks slow and standard that pisses the more powerful car owners off!

Where`s the "all of the above" button for those of us who have a body kitted GTi, & a standard looking N16, that`s kept up with a BMW M3 down the bypass! (we both booted it off the roundabout, & I was quite surprised that he didn`t pull away that much!)

ehem.... can I be the first to congratulate you on doing so well against a car that clearly wasn't trying.....

it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that zing - sleeper all the way !

in the future i want a sleeper but for now whilst i have stupid insurance costs visual mods are all i can do really so i now have a 1.4 that looks like a non bodykit GTi on stilts

mines only subtle mods though so im not exactly driving around in something with a huge bodykit and a 1.0, tbh i find some standard cars perfect as they are so with them it would just be a sleeper, if i did another almera i would still have the same grill and probably another few little things that mine hasnt got yet as i dont think the almera looks perfect as standard and it needs a few little touches.

I do think you need to have a trade off, thats why I'm not going for the street race look with my 1.6 5-door, but I think modding a GTi in that way would be ok, like nismo, consett_GTi, Alan Blue, Flamera Andy to name a few.

Just stay clear of joy tuning bumpers! haha

Then why was it chucking out black smoke all the way down the bypass when he booted it?
