What tires???

Need some new tires any opinions as to the best ones out there?
Moneys almost no object this month so can go quite high for the price.
I'll be using them day to day running but need something that will grip for when i get down to shakespere on the 30th.

Opinions on the best choice would be helpful:)

I use Kumho ku-31s and can't fault them...excellent wear, excellent wet and dry handling and only £100 a pair fitted. They come out better than the Toyo Proxes TR-1 in a lot of the categories.

right, at the moment r-tec are selling tires ridiculously cheap....

54 quid for yokohama parada's... 205/40/17

i got yokohama a539's for just under 50 quid each in said size...

i use pirelli p600 and michelin pilots on the front... and i just cannot wheelspin in the dry, unless i double clutch it... in the wet... i've gotten up to 3rd gear at 7000rpm just spinning... scared to use 4th gear haha really good tyres in the dry, superb grip

IMO tyre choice is all down to how you like the feel of your car. Like schnakey has kumho KU31's and they're a nice tyre, He said he couldnt fault Yoko A539's, but on my clio, they're a bit hairy in the wet, and theres too much sidewall roll in the rear, you can feel the rear stepping out and squatting down, which i dont like at all.

Best tyre ive ever used so far is the Goodyear eagle F1 GSD-3. Had my clio cocking a rear wheel in the POURING rain. Only bad thing is wear factor... Mine did 3 track days, a drag racing day and 3k... before the cords were showing!

I'm not aiming to do that many track days, Looking forward to getting out on the drag strip next month. First time i'll have tried it so gotta give the beast some stick :)
Well cheers for the help
