Got the mera booked in for some bodywork today including a flushed tailgate. I aint got a recess for the rear bumper & was thinking.. I wouldnt mind trying to get the tailgate done without having to cut into me bumper.

Magnetic Number plates sound like a good plan , but the problem ive got is lighting

Any ideas ?

sticky number plates & ones in the back window look shite mate you need it mounted properly ;)
could maybe try a sunny number plate recess & mount that onto the bottom of the bumper ? i was thinking of trying that once...

Proper mountin would be nice , but means destroying the bumper to do so. temporary wouldnt look as good (obviously) but can come off easily when it counts at shows etc

i use the doulble sided black tape from halfords (the strong shit) works a treat!!!!

Does it leave any marks mate ? , or more importanly , how do you Light the thing to pass an MOT test ?

mine is in the bodyshop now getting done (all fresh bits)
if you have a P2 rear splitter, you could just stick the plate over the bottom bit with the gaps in.
I think Andy did his the same, and i'm sure there was something about a caravan light on a bent bracket being used to light the bitch up

Well the idea so far is that im gonna build a Bracket that via bolts , clamps onto the Towing eye. At the end of the bracket is something similar to a Picture frame with 4 Wanker lights , aka Washer jet LED's (in white) pointing inwards mounted at the top & bottom. Gonna have this either Black powder coated or chromed to keep up appearences. Plates being revised to a Bike plate since the original size would just look shit.

Will post results :D
