Where is nats control unit

When bought my phase2 gti the control unit had bin removed from under centre console as previous owner lost both fobs,im removing a control unit off another 1.4 or 1.6 almera with to fobs,intention was to just fit that control unit to my system and the two fobs should work.Correct? but the control unit in the dona car is not under the centre console.Could any1 please tell me where to find it?

Yeah not as simple as that i'm afraid, the box under the centre console is only the sensitivity module for your alarm, the GA engined car only has the immobiliser, hence no sensitivity module.

In any case the "control box" you refer to is the ECU unfortunately. you would have to swap the ECU, Keys, Ignition Barrel "ring" and the NATS IMMU in the pic in that thread.

Want some advice? get a Clifford installed, it will save a hell of alot of messing about.

i dont no the number of the immobilser unit and the other unit that hally says has bin thrown away
