Who has an 'S' model?

Need some help clarifying something to do with the heater controls please. Phase 2, N16 2003-2006.

There is a winscreen demist icon on the dials and buttons which leads me to think it's an electronic function. Is it? Or is it just printed on there to aid the user to use the best settings?

I bought a second hand one and the picture on ebay had these icons, but the part I got didnt, so the one I have must be from a phase 1 2000-2002.

Think you'll find that you hit the nail on the head with the best settings theory. Only Almeras with climate control adjust the settings automatically (electronically) when the windscreen demist button is pressed.

Yeah figured. Was wishful thinking, but it's a bit silly of Nissan to put on those logos if that's all it's for. Surely people arent that dumb?! (unfortunatly I know they can be ).
