get a look at the rain man, it was inches deep in places, would you believe that the first run I done was a 19 sec @ 60mph?, and the fastest a 17 sec at about 70mph. It was so bad the car was getting pulled all over, spinning through 1st, 2nd, into 3rd starting to get traction until the power was coming back in, into 4th and was just dangerous. Just before that race in the clip a fensport celica span off into a bonfire, a couple of other cars had near misses spining around the timing equipment, and andy barnes(something like that?) lost control of his scooby and span so far off he went into the woods, and smashed every pannel of his car.
Every fwd and rwd car never got below a 17 while I was there, including a charged and gassed type r. scoobys were running mostly low 14's and odd high 13's, most of them run 10's and 11's in the dry, andy barnes runs 8.6 and has a top speed of 210mph down there earlier in the year.
I left about 12 pissed off with the weather, as it was fine all the way down until 5 miles away then was just torrential. It wasn't forcast to stop, didnt look likely to stop, and even if it did stop it wasnt very likely to dry out.
Thing is, it stopped about half an hour later, and dryed out very quickly afer that :roll:
the type arse went onto run a 11 sec pass
I went and had my sunday dinner, then went and bought a new computer
Have to wait till next year to see if I can beat my prevoius best of 15.2@97mph, considering what Ive done since, I may hit a high 14, then again, it'll probs rain!
