you need h4 but not sure which ones to get
i think the higher the k number the whiter they are

Try and get "Euro Designz" ones, I got some 6K ones and they are mint, had them for must be going on 2 years now and no problems.

Dont get sidelights though, as they just look like blue LED's.

If you're talking Xenon filled bulbs then Osram silverstars....but they aren't chav white
They are brighter though.

The K rating is the colour and on proper HIDs the 4300k is the brightest and the whitest.

I am guessing you mean the pretend blue lights that are about, they are all crap if you ask me.

I've got Osram superstar bulbs, and they are a decent bulb that throws out plenty of light.

You can change to proper xenons (also called HIDs) but it will cost around £150 I think.
But you will get the real deal, and a big improvment on even the best halogen bulb.
