Anybody recommend a decent adhesive removal product, stuff i used was by a company called Mykall and wasn't very good

How about trying celluse thinners first, that will destroy any grease and glue and then you can clean it off easier. It worked when i de-badged my car. Didn't damage the paintwork either...

Could you post another pic a bit further from the car. I have a 5dr too, thinking about removing the strips too coz mine are scratched and slightly discoloured. Just want a good look at someone else's before i try mine...

A small amount will only remove your polish, i used it to remove the glue after i de-badged my wagon. Just remember to polish after your done!

So if i just put a little white spirit onto a cloth or kitchen roll and wipe on car i should be ok? Just wana make sure lol

yeah it should be fine to use

still wondering who put the vinal on thought, maybes dealer fit? or only the gti's got painted on?

Dunno mate, i had a Ph1 GTi, i was never blessed with them vinyl things :O

But your right, we are tight buggers. How do ya think i've got my BM now :D

LOL! Vinyl was easily put on by Nissan, apart from the fact is was looking old it was put on before the seals around the windows were put on! Easy enough to still take off though even with it being under the seals but obvious was put on before. I doubt anyone would go to that length to put the vinyl on for something that hardly changes apperance or isn't one of the more "common" things to do to our cars...but then again I may be totally wrong.
