Can't get the ABS to kick in & brakes feel spongy.
Can take force to engage 1st (want a short throw shifter).
Heater resistor card problem, only blows on 4.
Missing seat release plastic on passenger side.
Missing part of the front fog lamp assembly on the drivers side.
Speaker shelf come off hanger and could do with re carpeting.
The CD keg came preloaded with some right dross, made up for by a free copy of The Rest, The Unreleased, The Last by Prodigy.
The seat fabric ruins the interior.
There are too many speed bumps in Newcastle.

About as long as the list on my sri when i picked it up a year ago then!
Not a fan of the trim on the seats but you will get used to it, i was all set to re-trim mine myself but i 'grew to accept it'. Search for the 'how to' of heater card fixes, its a 2 min job really. My Sri sometimes struggles with 1st, so did my toyota come to think of it.......must be just me!

The ABS light comes on then goes off when the car starts but the brakes don't feel strong enough to lock the wheels. Thought they were supposed to have strong brakes. Maybe I'm just not planting it hard enough.

The brake fluid may need replacing?

Check how much the discs & pads are worn, mine need replacing, as it doesn`t like stopping from 60 going downhill!

i just put brembo 3g 20 groove discs and ebc green stuff pads on mine and had the brakes bleed when i had her serviced and the stoppin power is great, what a difference

Tempting, how much are they?

the discs and pads where £170 delivered and my mate fitted them as a homer for £20, if you get the ebc pads they do green and red if you are in to colour coding! the green is for everyday use and the reds need warmed up to get the full use, most suited to track days and maniacs, the discs are available with 10 grooves and are cheaper, but most cars i see with uprated discs have 5 or 10 groove so i got 20!! they also do matching rear discs which i will get at some point.

my mate works for audi and was quite impressed by these on an almera

best thing for to stop rattling in morning is use can of STP oil treatment on oil changes! doesnt stopt all together but quietins things down a BIT.

I used to use Waxoyl on my cars (mainly Opel Mantas) and it's complete shite these days I'm afraid. The ONLY stuff to use is a mixture of Hydrate 80 first and then Dynax S50 (see www.bilthamber.com). Yes it's expensive, but it's dead easy to use, especially the Dynax in the aerosol cans, and it's just so much better than anything else you can buy.

In fact, everything BH sell is so good compared to all the other products (including 'Dinitrol') on the market that I'm amazed anyone else is still in business. Try the 'Autobalm' for an unbeatable shine for example.
Trust me, I'm still a Manta owner (and if you think you've seen rust, you haven't until you've had a Manta!).

Just for interest though, once you've used the BH stuff, Hammerite underseal with Waxoyl is still the stuff to put on top of it. "It's a funny old game Saint!"

Cheers,

Joe.
