Annoyed With My GTi

After having a bump in november ive just fitted a new front panel. Trying to line the lights back up and that is being a shitter my side lights have stopped working.

I need to either straighten or fit a new bonnet. Then paint the front bumper and wings

Friday the 13th was the day my exhaust snapped off which im pissed off as everything bad that happens is always on a friday or weekend when fuck all can be done about it.

So when i get all that fixed i will be selling it as its pissing me off

So i will need to get a new car thats is easy to fix and cheap to run. I dont go far only to my girlfriends and back which is 7 miles so my GTI is using shit load of petrol.

I was thinking of an N16 1.5 like my dads but a 3 door so i can stay with the club so i dunno yet.

Any ideas?

A better Gti? Petrols cheaper now anyways :D

To be honest i really do fancy a change. If id the money if buy Sam's as thats mint but i dont i really wanna do the sensible thing and just get something small and save up for something better i'm 25 now so insurance wont be that bad

side lights not working, are the rear ones? comon fault is the plug on the front side lights corroed,

things not lining up, big hammer time

get a diesel fella!

depends on you though!

i know what it like to go through that fed up stage!

i decided to get the vectra diesel and just ran that, but kept the GTi and the micra and made them nice again! so once i had sorted everything taking my time, i enjoyed driving them again

ive always considered a micra its just i'm pretty big and will look stupid driving one ha i'm even considering a corsa again

Myabe a white one with the steel wehels painted gloss white would look cool ha ha whats better 1.0 or 1.3 for economy or not much in them?

micra super s:

my old one:

micra's are really fun cars. I know a fair few members have had them inc myself. With a manifold and a catback on 1.3 they can shift alright:)

hang in there fella, dnt let motors get you down. your car has been fine up till now i guess, sort this and it'll be alryt. member we do have old cars tbf.

If your struggling with fuel perhaps you could consider putting it back to standard eg standard exhaust and filter. Not sure what mods you've got on it at the moment but it might make a bit of difference and convince you to keep it.

Everyone has off days with cars mate but it'd be a shame to get rid cos of one day cos it looks a nice motor!

wait a little while longer, sell yours and buy mine when I have my new car, price will come down aswell :)

Engine wise its standard apart from filter . It was a nice GTi when i got it my stupid fault for crashing it thats when i lost interest in it.

Theres rust here there and everywhere popping up its a joke.

Ive just fixed one of my side lights i had a spare side light bulb holder and connector so i choped old on off and put new one on that works fine now however the other side has gone now aswell.

Sam that is a posibility but i really dont need a 2.0 anymore i dont go far and town driving uses more fuel and that id like a smaller car then save up and buy something newer.

I could get an early N16 quite cheap but being a 1.5 its still in the high tax bracket i think.

I like the idea of a micra however id buy at £500 one lol

Dam mate, sorry to hear your car is being a bitch. My ex had a 1.0L Micra, must say that it felt quite nippy and enjoyed taking it out once in a while. The 1.3 must shift a bit for a small car for sure;)
Anyways good luck with it pal.
