is almost a straight swap, probalme is you will have to make an manifold and downpipe for turbo (CA18DET in UK was RWD)

If thats it then it looks like its a goer! Will i use the existing ECU or have to go aftermarket?

Will it just bolt up to the Sunny gearbox?

bought another N12 this time a 13GL 5 speed,
so stripped it for parts, stripped and rebuild the engine (mainly gaskets) but gave it a mild porting

and so we go with the work pics,

also put stripped the carb, cleaned it in the ultrasonic cleaner then rebuilt it

Shell is in the body shop having some repairs due to storm damage done. Once back i'll drop the new engine and box in.

yesterday i had a few hours free and the weather was good so i made the most of it.

Just need to get the down pipe stretched a little at exit to match up to turbo rear section. more pics soon

haha i want it for a daily.. make my mera a track car and then id want to K12 1.5DCI the N12 with a qashquai 6speed box remap to 120BHP/200lbft have a retro old school car with modern reliabilty and MPG..
