Ball Joints

Would that really be that noticeable? I get knocks from both sides but my drivers side caliper is loose on the slider. It feels like a suspension problem, I wonder if I havent got the top mounts aligned bang on

yeah my replacement ones were firstline too. seem good.

also i have some new firstline track rod ends you can have. pm me. :)

By the time you've added on postage, it'd be the same if not cheaper than getting them new from a motor factors.

Ah sorry Ross, i meant would it be noticeable with a caliper loose on the slider, I can move it by hand slightly but the knocks can be felt through the pedals

Have you checked you ARB? I had a clink on my Gti and it was a loose nut in the end of the link.
I bought new Blueprint ball joints for my black Si a while back for £17 and they fitted beautifully. I had to take the arm off to get it out but was worth it.

yeah the blue print ones i fitted were too small and moved up and down in the wishbone.
me and stu-e discovered the issue at shakeys. :/
i couldnt turn the steering and look under the wishbone at the same time. lol

it was weird
and it only made the clocking/heavy vibration through the steering wheel and pedal/chassis when turning.

Passenger side ball joint was absolutely wrecked, removed wishbone and replaced it. Drivers side has no play at all and is in the condition you'd expect after 6months from new. I think it was just coincidence that the passenger side one was shot. Niether ball joint was loose in the wishbone. The knocking is now back to being intermittent and from the bulkhead. I think it could be the poly rear engine mount.
