Done One side
Hi
Just done the passenger side strip and its took all day coz of spurts of rain. Strip came off easy but glue was a bloody nightmare. My worst fears of rust were not met
Heated the strip with water then just pulled off. Started pouring water on glue and seemed to take ages. So, decided to use hairdryer on it. Got 2 on go (me and my lass) and was easy. Left slight black marks that washed of and a little mess. Washed down and got colour magic on and now look as if nothing was there. Tomorrow gonna do rear driver side strip, hope it doesnt take long!

I paid £320 to get mine delocked, but they also sorted out the where i'd put the side strips back on with very strong adhisive!

Managed to get both off now. when you said soar thumbs didnt quite think it would be this bad - blisters on both thumbs and fingers!
Well worth it though, just got a clean line accross sides of car coz rest needs a wash. lol Looks better I think but probably wont know full extent of difference till its been cleaned.
As for delocking, not quite sure about it yet coz my c/l will probably go on me and wont have a way of getting in car. would be good to have a tvr style lock when its under wing mirror. think its tvr anyway.
Was maybe thinking of getting red handles for doors first but that could prove difficult finding some to fit or replacements
Have to update picture now so will get that done maybe at JAE or if i go to Elvington

if you keep the boot lock, then you always have a way of getting in in an emergency.

Boot lock has already gone so i'd be fu**ed then if i was locked out! Wonder if it would be possible to have a lock put near plate but have it black and try and blend it? Gonna be a while till i have it. Wanting new alloys first?
Oh, i was told coz im getting 17's i may need my speedometer resetting, anybody else had it one?

I've never had that done. If you get the right tyre size, then the actual wheel is the same size i think.
