could you not just go to a scrappy and get some boot lifters and they would do the same job?

thats a good mod never knew it lifted that high.
Mine came off my old P10 hatch that I'm breaking.
I had to make some plates that bolt up with the hinges and welded the balls from the pivots to them. I then measured up for the wing fixing and drilled through and used the other ball stud with a nut on the other side of it.
I did all the test fitting on the old car.
I originally made the plates to fix with both bolts but it was too low down and the bonnet flexed before it started to compress them when you tried to shut it.
So I moved it up...this is on the current car and they are VERY rusty now, I need to take them off and clean/paint them.
Which meant I had to move the wing fixing...
It lifts itself after you've lifted it a few inches...I'll have to do a vid of them on the car now, this is on the breaker.

Custom Job then i guess
....custom intake, custom front strut bar, custom rear strut bar (when I finish it) and soon to come a custom adjustable rear anti-roll bar.
Are these bonnet lifters application specific or universal???
