Bought me a GTI

Silver GTI, does this mean its the end of run "phase 3"?

51k on it, its just a young 'un haha

not sure tbh, it's got a full ph2 body kit, air bags on steering wheel, in front of passenger and in the seats which i think i pretty rare.

Any other pointers? The plan is to collect @ 8pm tomorrow!! :)

I've owned a eGT and a GT and I'd say they definitely handled better than all four GTi's i've had, especially the P10. That was the best by far..

Jeez re-reading that sounds like i have a serious Nissan obsession problem :O .

I remember seeing BigAl's Silver GTi, And nearly fainting.

Although the coilovers and Black multispokes added the uber'ness to it.

It will be yeah but not just cos its silver, you could get all phase 2 gtis in silver, but it seems not many people did!

I KNOW YOU ALL WANT PHOTOS, BUT I DON'T HAVE THE BL00DY CAR YET, LOL!!

I'm picking it up tomorrow @ 8pm, and i can't wait!! :-)

I remember seeing BigAl's GTI, and it did look fantastic... the problem is, not only do i not have thr spare cash but i'd also feel really bad about modifying what can only be considered to be one of the very best remaining examples in the country.

I'll definately be driving over to the JAE stand on the Sunday, so see you all there!!

gunna have to back that statement up with pictures of the outside and underneath your car mate :P

You can scavange around all you want at JAE chap. I WILL be re-coating the waxoyl, that's for sure... definately want to keep the rust at bay.

Andrew Timmins (the previous owner) has already told me that he's had the rust done on one side (arches only)... about a year ago IIRC and there is no sign of any more at present. Unfortunately rust is very good at eating Nissans... :(

Drove the car back last night, which was great... car goes really well and i'm extremely pleased overall.

I've just adjusted the throttle cable to remove the inch of slack from the pedal, and now just got to locate a small rattle (when blipping the throttle at idle) and going to polish out a few minor surface scrathes... then she'll be mint!!

Oh, and get the engine back steam cleaned... it's rank!!

I'll get some photos up this evening hopefully.

Andy. :)
