thats a load of crap, theyve only got 14 days to notify you, if they havent done that theres nothing at all they can do

as Ive said before mate, when they send the letters etc ask for pics showing you its your car and you driving, dont with hold any info mind, just say you cannot prove the driver, its what I did, took about 2 months to fight, sending letter back and forth etc, the case was then dropped as they couldnt be arsed to prove me wrong, takes too much time and its just not worth it, I now 4 people whove done this and read aboout many more...

any more info, or letter drafts etc, send me a PM

they've also dropped that now too. if you can't prove who was driving, the registered owner automatically accepts all responsibility. it was a loophole that was overexploited, aong with the 10% leniency and now neither apply.

and the 6 months thing may be wrong. if teh tax man can claim tax off you back dated to whenever they feel like it, I can't imagine traffic violation prosecutions being any different. After all, it's all pocket money for the government.

Either way, if you get caught speeding, fair fair, take it like a man and don't get caught again.

they changed the rule, as long as they can prove they STARTED the process within 14 day sthey can do you as so many people were getting away with it.

Ive noticed more and more coppers with tripod lasers on the side of the road recently.

Thanks to all for comments, not eard nowt yet, ave done same route again + was above 45mph but thru anchors out to about 35 some 30 metres before level with the van. It was dark 18.09 + i allways drive with both visors down day or night, so they may not even get a decent mug shot, anyway wot wil be wil be.
You all take care + ave a safe crimbo.
By the way i've got you nuthin.
that was the hardest thing iv ever read

Well ive been pulled doing 45 in a 30 before and got away with it.

However im currently expecting a letter in the post was really late for work the other morning (sat morning 5:30am fook all about) accelerated (well booted it in all fairness) out of a 20mph village which goes into a 60mph and i was doing about hmm 60ish, saw someone stood in the road so slowed right down to like 20ish, happened to be a bob-a-job cop (community support officer) shes shook her head and took down my plate, but as far as im aware she cant do shit?
Am i right in saying they have next to no legal right to uphold the law, they cant even arrest people...?
And it was just her, no camera etc, so no proof?
Still i expect theres a letter of complaint on its way.

Soz if im slightly hi-jacking here...

the special constable's???? hahha nah mate their a load of wank

They cannit arrest you as far as Im aware, they can only request the presence of a Full Duty officer to do that

There was a right fcuking geek in our school, horrible bit of kit, he got abused and allsorts, anyhooo watching the Newcastle and Sunderland match the other week, who bursts in, wearing the pathetic special outfit??? haha their a bunch of freeks mate

Saying that though, if something does come through the door, it would be ur word against their's, so they would probs win, unless you fought them over it

Some community support officers have all the rights of police I believe.. But apparently there's some rule that 2 police officers have to be present to enforce anything? Not too sure.. All I know is, a community support officer gave me 3 points and a £60 fine, but he only proceeded to give me the endorsement when two actual coppers turned up.. He didn't do anything before except give me one of those petty encounter forms..
