They can be used to increase fuel pressure as a cheap way to increase fueling by not having to buy bigger fuel injectors.
If you have less than 200 BHP, then I wouldn't bother with one to be honest as your stock injectors are fine.
The mapping may need some tweaking here and there, but the fuel injectors will flow enough.
