Check me out....

.....just because you cant drive a car dosn't mean you cant play with it.
Due to my current off-the-road predicament ive descovered how useful not having to pay for petrol can be.

Some fresh new mods now grace my chariot and are explained as follows....

1. New stainless rear box. Uni-fit but can be classsified, in my opinion, as a direct replacement after Nick at Central Tyre in Colchester used the standard inlet section of a brand new almera rear box and mated it to the Stainless item and added OE hangers to create a bespoke box. Top stuff! Also put on a new center section up to my de-cat as my speed bump humping days had taken its toll. Sounds lovely and its improved performance a tad as the old box was fucked and the cenre section crushed!

2.Trico smooth bodied wiper blades.
Much nicer to look at and wipe fantastically. Have a curved construction like the blades on new Mercs and Beemers so put even pressure over the screen at all times. Cleaned my sreen, added 2 coats of rain-x and clicked new blades into position. Simple.

3.Tinted all windows.

4.Black grille badge with 'insane' logo in pearl red.

5.Ebay wind deflectors. Work out at about 34 quid from germany. Came i 5 days, perfect fit. Company is called Opimex i think, type Almera wind deflectors as your search, the display car is an orange audi a3. Same colour as the car almost and go great with the tints. Stops the rain from my over polished roof running into my car as i always have the window dow a little bit.

thats exactly the kind of back box im after, nice and subtle.

love your car, everything works well and theres not many modified cars that are like that, most have something that doesnt quite look right but this doesnt.

Looks cool - I want wind deflectors!

It the back of your bonnet raised? Only ever seen that done one high-power turbo cars...

haha i raised the back of mine after seeing Damo's, now it looks like a baby 180sx.

cars looking perfect mate great photos, im not even going to say the usual 'get a P2 grills, get P2 lights etc coz i think it looks awesome as it is, anything done to the interior?

reminds me of my old SRi coz of the tints i think :(

what is it you do to rais ur bonnet might give it a shot

Unbolt the bonnet from the hinges, add a few washers (I think 5) between the bonnet & hinge, then re-tighten with longer bolts.

Kelv`s done it to his nx as well, might do it to mine @ some point.

Looks good. Like the wipers. Make sure the tailpipe doesn`t hit the splitter, it looks mighty close to me ........ oh and fit some mesh behind the front bumper, it looks better and protects the rads.

Looking good mate, really like those wipers and the exhaust.

My mate's an exhaust fitter, and i've been toying with the idea of getting a universal backbox too, was there much work involved?

Cheers guys. The rear box only has a little play left to right, The interior only has a Simoni racing gear gaitor, momo gear nob and an omex sequential shift light in-between the speedo and rev counter. Like an interior to be functional and ive found the Gti/Sri interior to be one of the best, loads of cubby holes and the least fussy dash in the world. I do have one question however, what is the little tab on the window rubber? The one that my deflectors have recess for?

I`ve seen these on a few cars, & been told they`re "window anti-rattle things" to stop the window rattling when it`s slightly open, but can`t see how they`d work, if that`s really what they are.

Sorry, no help whatsoever! :D

EDIT: Are these 2 dents, or is it a trick of the light?

There speed dents, they add 10bhp.

They are actually the resuly of a well-to-do gentleman and his son exiting their 05 Range Rover Vouge SE, as both doors opened neither decides to give a shit that i was sat in my car in the next space. As he walked off a gobsmacked me calmly pointed out the error of his exit. The man then proceeded to laugh in my face. I then proceeded to call him an arrogant pug faced cunt infront of many stunned a Tesco shopper. He started to raise his voice to me, i then pointed out that his Range might not be so attractive and valuable upon his return were i to remove my pry-bar from underneath my drivers seat. He made his humble apology and entered the shop quietly.

The End.

Short version: I called him a cunt and threatened to smash up his wagon if he didnt apologise for being arrogant.

You still should have scratched something or at least let down the air in his tyres...I would if that was my car. Ive got a little valve screw in my glovebox, just stick in in the tyre valve, unscrew and air comes gushing out:P

He lives in a well to do estate near the tescos. ill just go round on a weekday off and shag his MILF of a wife, piss in his toilet (including the cystern), and walk around his house with a sense of self satisfaction.
