Danger (cornering)

Mine likes to pop it's arse out with even the slightest touch of the brakes on corners. Hope the coilovers will stop it leaning forward so much.

Dear "rowdy-gti",
Front = Goodyear Nct 5 / 195/55/15. are 32 psi.
Rear = Yokohama s306 / 195/55/15. were 32psi. for 1st incident i then lowered to 28psi then 2nd incident.

The tyres were on at purchase + will be on until funds allow for toyo's.
I know the Nct 5s are milage tyres but the Yokos are usually not bad + all have good tread.
Ta.

The Goodyear NCT 5's are a very good tyre I thought when I had them. A lot better than the Yoko's you have.

For standard wheels in the size you specified the front tyre pressures should be 36 PSI & the rear should be 33 PSI. I've got an original Nissan sticker on the inside of the drivers side door (near the latch part where the lock meets to lock the door) which states these pressures. That's what i've always gone with and i've always been ok with standard wheels.

I agree with the guy about the rear Yoko tyres sounds as though that could be the problem...get the pressures correct and swap front & rear wheels around see if that solves anything....if not you were hammering it cos the Mera does handle mint in the dry.

I don't think Almera's like the wet though at all...they seem too sway out on the back end but that was when I had standard wheels on. Now i've got 17's on it handles shitloads better.

My si is very stable in all weathers, and bugger me does it grip in the dry! all my tyres are 215/45/17, can't remember what the rears are and the fronts are millenniums or something (made by Avon apparently). I'll check tomorrow. the only time I've had oversteer in it was while aquaplaning over a puddle I didn't see because it was raining so hard.pressures I go on the lower weight recommendation on teh front, and somewhere inbetween for the rears, which works out around 32psi all round.

That happens with every car, why are you braking mid bend? What do you mean by leaning forward?

Well say for example (living in the countryside) a deer walks out? (Happens quite often).

I have to break. Never mind, I was babling on :O
