it would be 1300 FC with 1 NCB but when i claimed its classed as a full claim as no other car was damaged therefore my own insurance payed out, lesson learnt, dont tell em and by a banger until another almera or car i like comes along lol

I was paying nearly £200 a month fully comp on the autech, and that was insured as a gti as I couldnt find anywhere who knew about it or had it on records as an import n15 is usually a 1.8.

I gave up insured it as a gti and then gave up even more an went 3rd party on it under the pretence they wouldnt pay out if i stacked it and had fully comp anyway as it wasnt exactly what i said it was..

Nice burden to have, £3k on the line every time I drove it.

got quotes on a gti in a couple of months time, less than £800 fc

I was paying £200/month TPFT on my Si, everything declaired with bell.co.uk, now with 1 years NCB and a new insurer I'm paying £750 for 12 months fully comp (cheaper than any TPDT quote I could find) with Chaucer through HIC. an online quote I got from them on my 205 Mi16 once it's converted was only £950 fully comp. For some reason Almeras are expensive to insure... Veero said his 205 Mi16 was a fair bit cheaper to insure than his N15 GTi, despite being moer powerful, lighter, less safe in an accident, easier to steal and more desirable to steal.

bump!

If you're still looking to do a GTi engine conversion then I'm selling my donor car as I'm not going to do the swap myself. everything's there including 2 keys and 2 fobs + master fob.
