Fiberglass splitters

why should a fiberglass splitter go so danm expensive? you are able to get hold on a ph1 bumper with splitter for about 80£. i recon the splitter might go for 40£ ?
 
Look at how hard your finding it to get ahold of a splitter at the moment Prizma, this shows that they aint easy to get, which means it should go for decent money...

yes at the moment it's a bit hard to get hold on some, but fiberglass should never be more expensive than the real thing!

I can get a hold on ph1 rear splitter for 1700,- NOK i guess.
but the front end is hard all right.
 
The original front splitter is only plastic though :S Remember that nissan want between 160 and 200 for JUST the front splitter depending which dealer you get a quote from. (2 Westway nissans gave me the quotes 30 quid apart within a day of each other).

Edit: How much did they actually go for on ebay btw?
 
about £70 - £80 if memory serves me correctly. I was asking about these a while ago but couldnt be bothered waiting, if only i'd known about the blokes situation i might have hung in there. if the come up again for sale im definatly gunna source a scrappy front bumper!
 
well im predicting that there will be one going up on ebay very soon!!!
 
If you can go and get one for cheaper then do it, if not and you want one then Pea is selling one. Either buy it or go find another one :rolleyes:

now now boys play nicely!!! but at the end of the day a phase 1 splitter is the rarest of them all, you cant get them from nissan at all anymore unless you get lucky and find somewere with old stock so if you need one then a copy is the way forward and these are perfect copies aswell, i have seen them in the flesh
 
I spoke to 2 nissan main dealers and both told me the Nissan factory have stock of them now. However they cost 160-190 depending which dealer you speak too, and thats only primed.
 
well now boys i am on the job give me a chance to get this sorted and yopus may well get one i no he had them up on ebay and think the least he got bidded was £92 and got £145 for some but will ask him to do us a good deal if he still making them but can say until then happy bidding as pea is the only one with one to sell this minute so get him pm ed with offers boys .xxxx :P
 
Has anyone had a recent look at the splitter on e-bay? Its now up to £100 with 3 days to go!! Surely it would pay to get an original if it goes any higher wouldn't it?!
 
its only because there rarer than a dodo why its going so high!!
 
it's a rare copy all right!

tho it ain't a ph1 original splitter, and that price keeps me out of the bidding.
