Front end damage to Ph1 GTI HELP!!!

Right then...........(sigh)

Just hit a dog and the front end of my N15 GTI is not looking great, as you can see from the avatar it's red and a 96'. If anyone knows of any front end (valance/lights/indicators and everything back to and including the radiator) going begging, or reasonable priced i'd be VERY greatful for any help.....

I've got a ph1 headlight for sale if you like, fiver plus postage? It's only one though, i broke the other one.

Edit: I've also got a set of ph1 deglobed indicators i can throw in, so fiver plus postage for one headlight and a set of indicators?
 
Il speak to my mechanic tomorrow who seems to be taking the piss! I have my ex almera in one piece stuck in a car park somewhere. I should be able to get you all the front end its just main car parts are in green and I am very far away from you!
 
They do, its just manual, not electronic. The P1 GTi does. Im sure you could take the unit from the broken headlights and fit it to the Autech ones though

It's been a weird experience really, obviously the crash/dog/damage to the car was not great, but since then i've tried contacting the kind man who took the dog to the vets with no response, and after calling the vets directly i've found out that the dog didn't actually get there?!!!:confused:

It was not his dog and i'm pretty sure the dog unfortunately didn't make it, gonna try a few other local vets later to see if he turned up elsewhere....

On closer inspection(in daylight) the Headlights may have survived, although indicators have not...

Hopelesness, sorry i dont know what de-globed means do you have a pic as am up for that if the offers still there?

dont qoute me on this but this bit i am fairly sure that if u can find the owner of the dog u can claim on there house insurance ,i have heard people say this b4 ,so could be worth a shot ,good luck
 
i bet the dog didn't have road tax... so shouldn't have been on the road. bet it was an uninsured vehicle as well.

and im quite sure there is 100 police officers working on a case against you right now for aggravated homicide.

unlucky mate... but the indicators that hopeless is offering you is a good deal, deglobed look so much better
 
Really sorry dude but I sold the indicators on last night!

However I've just found a couple of pairs on eBay that are pretty darned cheap. If you need it you can have that headlight for the cost of postage, it's got electronic height adjustment and comes with the motor.

Both pairs will fit but the second set will match your current headlights.

Got stuck in to the car yesterday, it's not as bad as first thought thankfully! The headlights are fine, parts list is now:

Front valance(ordered)
Indicators
Radiator

Fortunately the splitter somehow survived and will be good as new with a little fibreglass, however anyone know what this flimsy piece is called that runs across the front behind the valance?



I've checked another thread on the forum and it appears my car has no "slam panel", is this standard on the early ph1's?

Another pic with offending damage removed and after a bit of straightening...........
