GTi vs VZR.

Just drove poc,s Vzr N1 yesterday what a car and after 6k rpm it would definatly say bye bye Gti. Want a VZR now!


yeah but it's an N1 for starters, and isn't POC's the 2l converted one?!

bit diff to a normal vz-r :P, i bet that thing was awesome though :D

Ya big diff between N1 and vzr, he was driving the standard N1 that i have for sale. It is awesome aswell, especially when people get in car they dont know what it is and then you tell them its only 1.6!!:eek:
 
is the N1 195bhp tuned, lightweight version? i know it's different and faster etc, but can't remember exact differences...

the 2l conversion will be truely unreal though mate! :cool:

Its 200ps compared to 175ps which works out at 197bhp. Alot of head work compared to the standard vzr. I have a chipped ecu in it at the mo which is revving to 9250 and my bits changed and boy it moves!
 
Drove both, and a VZR would pwn a standad GTi all day.

Id imagine it would but heres wher ethe GTi wins. You can get a Decent GTi for say £1500.

A VZ-R maybe £5k you could turbo the GTi and blow the VZ-R away. And finding parts for the 16VE well if anything breaks its big money.
 
^^^ What he said, Smiles to the pound, Gti wins hands down. No matter how much you love warm hatches, you cant justify £5k on a 10 year old standard one i'm afraid.
 
^ plus i'd imagine the vz-r would have to be worked v hard to be much quicker anyway.

i'd think the GTi would make a better road car and be quicker a-b, even if it'd lose when thrashed on a track.

even without turboing, a GTi with induction, exhaust, cams, maybe fpr etc. would surely beat the vz-r, and at a fraction of the cost
 
There is a black 99 VZR on auto trader for 3500 euro which is around 3000 sterling. i might buy one and keep the Gti too.or sell the Gti and buy the N1.
 
Mine will be for sale for £3k, You can't get a 50,000mile GTi with NO rust, 8krpm, VVL, 175bhp, VZR lights, spats, skirts, tad over 1100kg and a fucking savage gearbox for that price...and of course the exclusivity.
