I went to my local halfrauds to get a touch up pen for mine, but the only Nissan grey they have is `pearlescent`(sp), so I`m not even going to try using that!

I think mine is called `Techno Grey` so may have to get some from Nissan.

I Cant be arsed to read the thread but this is from personal experence.

The Paint quality is good but the colours may be slighly out
my mate had a Greeny turquoise VX Corsa 94 plate SRi and he brought some paint from halfords and then found out its the same colour but the shade is slightly brighter (if u know what i mean) so he went back to vauxhall for the paint

Halford's paint codes are correct as they are taken directly from the manufacturer! Paint you buy on the shelf is sitting there for a long time and needs to be mixed well before use.If you get a colour mixed there and then it's easy for whoever is doing it to get it wrong as the machine tells you what amount to put in but it's easy to over or under do it.To get a perfect colour match the surface must be prepared properly ie;cleaned, primed, painted, lacqured!

Just had a quote from only place in 4 i've tried that will do it. I tried Nissan, they dont do bodywork in Sheffield, they recommended Car Clinic so asked them and they only do insurance claims, so they recommended National and they charge £25 for the quote which then comes off the price of the work if you go for it! So good old yellow pages brought me Auto Body Styling and that took me an hour to find but this is the price they gave:

For the handles and rear lights it would be £150 and take less than a day. Thats all 4 handles left on the car and around the lights on the back (if they take them off to do it its extra £75)

For delocking its £275 and has to be in for 2 days. I cant do without my car for 2 days!!!

Now when I left I wasnt sure if that was on its own or with the handles aswell. Does this sound like all the jobs or just de-locking?

Bloomin heck i got a good deal, i had my cars door handles painted, rear ph2 lights, de-locked, front bumper, sideskirts, both doors up to the line, rear splitter, both sills welded, rear numberplate surround fitted and sprayed for £400, only problem was the colour red is slightly darker now than the whole car but because of that i get all the paint free next time for a full re-spray which shouldn't cost the earth! i'd see if there's a local person doing it in his garage or something, seriously!

I got my whole front and rear bumpers and one wing resprayed for £200, though that was a bargain!

You are best getting the paint from Nissan.

Bought Halfords paint for my primera before getting shot... after 3 different batches I gave up and went to Nissan....

what ever paint you use give it a shake and a tip from my body shop is but the can in a pint glass of boiling water. dont leave it in there for ages tho. it makes the paint flow out alot smoother. also when you have finished turn the can upside down and spray for few seconds to clear the nozzle.

oh and halfrauds paint is sh1t
