Remember my old 1.4, just did not wan't to go over a ton, the screaming, as it got to high revs, used to put me off.

Now, i have to be careful not to go near a ton, because it gets there so easily.
 
sunny doesnt struggle on the flat just slows down as it gets past 90. lol

not bad for 17s.

one reason i want the 1.6 is so i dont have to drive the car so hard.

im 2nd year chippy & i was able to pull off buying one, put your mind to it & you'll pull it off too.
 
Well if i ever moved to ireland, a VZR would definately be on the drive. I would love to drive/compare one, and as wrote before, I want a LSD. lol
 
hows it going kurt the ton wouldnt be flat out for me at all but about ton 40 would with 2 1/2 revs still to go getting to the ton for me now is easy.

Aye i've exchanged emails with him a few times,he is fairly helpfull,i've never bought anything from there but id say it is good stuff judging from everything else they do,they seem like quality parts but very exspensive!

hows it going lad just got on the computer there now & i saw your message can the lad import parts over here to us or what id like to get that carbon hood off him with the vint looks well & if i can id like to see what he could with putting a turbo into the vzr ill have to get the engine strengthened though.
 
hay lad nice bus you have a bit done to it i see like the front bumper alot not realy gone in the spoiler though other than that nice car.

Im sure they will,theres a fair bit involved with turbo charging them as you gotta lower compression,bigger injectors,mapping and all that!
They have turbo'd a few of them theres pics on there site somewhere of one,they sell an off the shelf turbo kit for the vz-r!

was talking to a lad on sr20 forums he reckons 355 WHEEL horse power is obtainable with a fair bit of reliability...a lot of internal work to be done with stronger pistons(eagle i think he said??) but... and you'd need to upgrade to the stronger 8cw crank from the 99> vzr..lower compression as lucino said....need a stronger transmission as well..the only problem is who do you trust to do it???..theres no one on this side of the atlantic who could claim to be an expert on the sr16ve..wouldn't say there are too many who stripped more than 2 or 3 engines down...be class if you could do it
 
i know a local fella who is up for any challenge to fit it he'll work on any car for ya. he would rebuild an rx7 engine for ya in the morning if you ask him to, his just after rebuilding an x bertie fisher manta & by god he is shit hot i cant praise the man more.
 
Thought the beuty of VVL, was waiting for it to change into a different car, at 6k. Wouldn't turbo, wreck this?

Maybe a supercharger, would work better?
