maybe if it was a bog standard GTi yeah it will have difficulty keeping up, but it wouldnt leave it for dead if it was modded, depending how modded, the GTi could even take it. bit daft this really lol...

just depends really.. thats like saying a micra would never ever win a scooby, until you find out the micras got a hellish engine and turbo under the bonnet....
 
I can believe shaun, I have seen a EG6, race a DC2, off the line, and the teg, was about 2 cars infront, at 80mph, so a teg wouldn't humiliate a GTi.

But just wanted to stress that if anyone claims to even come remotely close to keeping up with an integra whilst driving an almera gti is either talking bollocks or the bloke in the integra can't drive or has something seriously wrong with his car!

totally agree...type r integra is much quicker not close much quicker..the vzr is faster than the gti no matter what you might think regarding torque..and lets not get into mods etc..standard cars vzr is quicker... and the vzr doesnt get close to a type r teg..not the jdm ones anyway i can tell you that first hand.

my mates old integra was 1 sec quicker to 60 than my car and strangely 1 sec quicker down the 1/4 mile i:e 0-90ish :rolleyes: (same sort of figure would apply to clio?)

Your standard gti cannot keep up with a teg type r. no matter how much you dream. you wouldnt even come close to keeping up with it. this is my last word on the matter.

and i shall have my last word's on the matter

i stated that i was able to keep up couple of well known car's on a dual carriageway and certain folk's made crap remark's without even considering mod's or reality :rolleyes: my GTi is faster than your's :P

:welcome: by the way, nice start off thread mate, actually that was my fault opening up a can of worm's :lol:
