Holy Sh!t

mine hasnt got a spot of rust there, from memory inside the arch is a wierd shape which would possibly allow mud to sit right behind were that rust is, clean that out every so often and it wont rust.
 
My old N15 only has tinworm around the front subframe and some suspension cmoponents, mainly the ARB. Perhaps there are some good years and bad years for these cars, like 1990/1991 pugs are generally better galvanised.

good point, my almera has less rust at nearly 12 years old than the primera was when we bought that at about 12 years old, we have had 2 1992 primeras now and they seem to love rusting under the underseal, 1995 seemed like a slightly better year but i bet almeras are falling to bits underneath in another few years, the factory underseal is crap. i would be 99.9% certain that the almera has no nasty suprises underneath, im not looking forward to stripping the underseal off the rear end of the primera at all and theres only 3 years or so between them :(
 
my first almera was spotless for rsut and corrosion, however my current one has definately got more rust, it has spent the last 2 year right next to the coast so thats probably why.

any updates dude? just wondered as mines turning into a tea bag in the same place now, if you could keep me posted with a few pictures as how its repaired id REALLY appreciate it, because i guessed from things other people have mentioned that it requires a LOT of work as you have to replace the complete inner arch panel....

will do mate, but I've not had anything done this last couple of weeks, and I'm off on holiday to ibiza on sat....oooh oooh
