...thats if you can solder...i tried earlier but the solder wasnt adhering to the metal so i gave up. its probably not clean enough or something.

do you mean you have one just in general or you have one you could sell to me :)

theres probably an oxide on the track or something stopping the solder sticking.

i have one sitting outside in the mera for sale.

i gave the area a good clean and rubbed it down with some emery paper then cleaned it again. I might try again tomorrow, its back in the car for now.

how much you wanting for it if i cant be bothered :) ?

I tried to solder mine today but refused to stick so I gave up now.

I would imagine that you have to somehow heat up the resistor before the solder will stick/adhere to it. mine has also gone but i only have a blow torch and not a soldering iron so i think i might just give it a miss!!!!

Wow, mine looks much worse than that. Much more corrosion. Going to get a new one.

Uber resurrection! Is this beyond repair?

Looks far worse than Kierans.

We're very lovable!

You may struggle with that one simcard, I had one less messed up than that and I couldn't solder it at all, even after rubbing it down with wire wool for ages. Im not very good at soldering though :(

i fixed mine earlier i soldered a bit of wire in to it rather thhan soldering across it the only prob now it that 1 blows harder than 2 but i can live with that

I fixed mine on friday and it was difficult to get the solder to stick to it, but eventually got it. just need to work at it, and be carefull when slotting it in so you don't knock it off

fixed mine yesterday, soldering was very easy what I did was I got a sharp edged screwdriver and scraped away the oxide covering to reveal the metal underneath. The only difficult bit was getting card back in not knocking the solder off, job done!!:):)

You could probably just find out what resistance each connection is and put a hench resistor inplace of the entire board, wouldn't ever blow then. I'll have a look into it and maybe I can do a permanent fix for them?
