Has Greg (GSpec) not sorted a light flywheel/clutch combo for the 6 speeds?

-Phone-

Yes he does, although the first version proved to not actually fit inside the bellhousing, requiring some grinding to take place (i think the clutch cover ended up being too high or something). The version two has now fixed that problem although i haven't seen pics and details about exact weight and what type/size of clutch it uses etc.

Mazworx also managed to bugger up their flywheel and clutch design by making it about 15mm too slim so the input shaft spline engagement was insufficient and risked stripping the splines. I think they were going to provide spacers to fit behind the flywheel, but not sure what happened with that in the end.

One guy in NZ had a custom one made which really looked the bizzz, but cost was a fair bit more, but really looked like a nice bit of gear. I have stashed away a complete brand new flywheel and clutch for when mine needs replacing. Although i'll be honest, its lasted longer than i expected so i'm happy with that, but i'm not a traffic light warrior and don't try and rip rubber through gear changes.

Few of the other mods i've done to it:

TEIN MonoFLEX front coilovers
Bilstein Rear shocks (fronts in a few weeks)
Whiteline adjustable rear sway bar
Whiteline bushings for front sway bar and rack
Nistune Type3
Innovate LC-1 wideband
Greddy MSS
JN15 Folding & Heated mirrors
JN15 Rear strut brace
Heated seats
Genuine Nissan tow bar assembly
Braided brake lines
Master cylinder brace
N16 front hubs (redrilled & customised hub centre) with N16E 280mm brakes
A32 278mm rear discs & calipers.

I can't find the pic on my car, but here's a couple of the same part.

Interesting. I had heard some stuff about them being for the Autobacs cars or a race series that was planned to be conducted somewhere with them which made sense, but almost seems unfair for you guys that so many of them ended up back in Japan. No less than 9 (nine!) engine and gearbox combinations came to Australia, possibly as many as 14 from which i'm sure that at least the 9 that i know of personally were sourced from Japan. Interesting info none the less. Cheers!

like i say it could be false info but the company that was building and testing the cars was based in Norfolk and one of the pictures from the auction i'm sure had vehicles in the background with uk number plates but they weren't very clear pictures.

story about the car :-

after 10mins googling, breckland technology it seems is the company they were using which have gone into administration..

something to look into though :)
