Hydrogen-powered Almera

Cheeky but fair enough. The GTi wasnt popular enough for the Almera to be known for that, and they didnt put anything blistering in the N16... so :rolleyes:
 
This sounds good - they're finally looking into the possibility of "normal" cars running on hydrogen as opposed to specially built ones :)

I guess that's why they've picked the N16 to do this as well, to show that converting existing petrol vehicles would be possible just like LPG
 
It seems that the N16 is a good platform for this (probably just because of it's image) as the fire service has a fleet of phase 1 LPG Almeras that were converted.

I'm surprised Nissan didn't offer a factory LPG option tbh - I think it'd have boosted sales a fair bit.

Lol, I'm sure the hippy paint scheme wouldhave to be a factory option...

I thoughtthis was a Sniff Petrol article when I saw the scientists name was Dick Kok..
