I put a CA18DE in my 'mera

I got 3 for looking at a text when I was trundling along at walking pace in a busy high street, and a further 3 for speeding: 35 in a 30 zone, mobile speed camera caught me.
Its not as bad as you'd expect, I'm just looking at the best side of it: I get to work on the car without being reliant on it everyday :)

so you never even got banned for any thing decent

your shit you. lol

its unlucky that though

i bet you fail your test first time on retry!

i put £10 on it

Haha I've long forgotten all the theory shit, but at least I won't be a proper nervous and shaky learner like some of the ones you see!!

On a lighter note, I wonder if the examiner will appreciate well heel and toe hahaha!!

damn a bet getting the s13 engine onto the gearbox is a pain in the arse!

keep us posted

In a way its good to get a licence revoke, by this i mean you must stick to the speed limits for like the next 4 years as any points means long term ban i believe. That would kill me, i dont even have a gti but a split second stamp on the throttle will see 10 over the limit, man!

Its fiddly because you can't really reach anything from the front of the car, only the sides.. But there's only 2 main engine mounting points, and the bolt up to the box.

And yeah it is easy to speed in any car if you're not concentrating or especially if you've got something else on your mind :)

You should have taken the engine and box out together. I can do this in less than 2 hours from driving.

Even better chuck the old CA18 engine out and slap an SR20DET in there like we did on my brothers car.

Well we probably would have done the DET swap but my mate's insisting on keeping this car legal in terms of mods because his old civic got checked over by the police and they said his insurance was void and he couldn't drive it anymore.. So he's brought a bigger car with the intention of leaving it standard. Knowing him though he's going to be tuning it up and upping the boost when he gets bored of it!!

got a C20LET in the back of mine (vaux 2.0 turbo) complete with the manifold and turbo etc, weighed a bloody ton, took 4 of us to get it in and out of the car and the rear was well and truly lowered on the way home. poor car got a hard life before it was sold lol, amazingly after all that weight in it the only damage was a few scratches to the plastic in the boot, amazing the things an almera can do, primera boot is useless but then i wouldnt risk damaging anything on it anyway.
