Happenin Cam
Firstly with regards of what to do next it's purely depending on what you want your car to be like. I don't read Max Power as often as i used to however i do remember having a guide stating there are 3 types of modification: -
1) Performance orientated - no luxuries, reduced weight, power mods, no compromise out-and-out performance
2) Show car - innovative styling, all form before function, deluxe sound system, niche customwork
3) Themed car - USDM Cruiser, JDM Racer etc
Also insurance is purely personal - i'm with Bell the moment so i can build towards the proverbial 4 years no claims bonus and have declared my wheels - that's it... And that's purely because if i do declare my mods then they're not covered like for like and if i don't declare them then my insuranceis void so really if i do have a crash none of my mods will be covered either way so in my eyes no point in declaring them...
And i've already tried going to Adrian Flux and other brokers and they were quoting daft prices like £950 plus - compared to the £660 im paying now (21 y/o, 2 yrs ncb, 3 pts on license)
I'm taking the risk of not declaring everything however i don't say everyone should do it - i've only hada few mods done so i'm not all that concerned however if and when i start gettin serious (i.e. coilovers, engine replacement, custom work etc) then yes i will have to see a specialist/broker at some point...
