living with a gti??

mate I could go on all day about how good it is to live with. I drive mine alot, working inbetween Newcastle and Sheffield and every now and again in Grangemouth up in Scotland. Its never ever let me down or missed a beat or anything.

Its good on petrol aswell, I mean theres not many cars with about 150bhp 2.0 that can still acheive 35-38 mpg.

I just love mine, and I know most other owners wouldnt say a bad thing about them. The power is nice when you need it, and it will deffo get you (as they say) from A to B and then you can spin her to C lol..

IMO, the engine was built way way better than the car. Dont worry about the engines mate, if its got FSH and looks and sounds good, chances are it will be perfect. Watch out for rust/bad body condition. Other than that, theres no that much really, as their fab fab underrated cars...

Go out and drive 1 and I dare you to say its not a brill car lol

I've had mine since October last year and you can't go wrong mate in all honesty. The best car i've had by far. Very reliable, suprisingly quick and they look good...and even better not everyone has one!!

As for the fuel consumption, they are actually really good on fuel (depending on how you drive).

I like to give mine some throttle so I go through fuel pretty quickly but my GTi is actually better on fuel than my last car ('93 Fiesta RS1800i) which is suprising really cos it's quicker than the fiesta and has a bigger engine, and it's heavier too, yet uses less fuel.

The only real problem i've had to date is the clutch, and that's my own fault not the car.

its a hatchback not a Mclaren F1! they're perfect to live with everyday, though i had to sell mine coz it was too much to insure :(

ive had my almera 4 months and everytime i sit in it im impressed by something i have found or hadnt noticed,,,,, like the large door handles on the inside are just the perfect size to wedge a can of coke in and keep it there steady,,,,,,, but if ur not silly like me you might be impressed with athe discoveries of having a pretty flat bootspace when you fold the seats down,,, i was gob smacked how much room there was in there,,, i just about managed to get a chair, from my 3 piece suite in it when i was taking it to the tip,,,, there amazing cars are these almeras,

Lol, would have been easy in my 5-door, thats what a love about it, a workhorse!

Bloody love mine, the only thing that worries me is that it only got 1.5 stars in the EuroNCAP crash tests. But mine's got more airbags than the car they tested :)

The Primera GT got 3 stars btw. Anyone know what the 200sx would get?

they're hard to fit into the house and never pay the rent on time

Perverse as it sounds, I love hearing stories like this as it makes me feel a little safer in mine :) Glad you were ok though chap.
