My P1 hasnt got the plate surround either so it obviously didnt have one. Just the grey bit at the top.

its got to be done right to look proper, ie like how a manufacturer would of made it

you saw the smooth boot and painted rear lights here first, way back in 2001, along with all the other 'firsts'

good job. the boot smooth would look better with out the square number plate but the normal ones like Naylor GTi has done and put it in his bumper

also I think its illegal to have your numberplate like that because there are no lights on it

My new bootlid is being flushed and the numberplate recessed into the bumper, keeping wiper arm and locks though to make it more straight-from-factory looking. Also keeping and smoking my rear lights (Phase1).
