Part No. 63843-1N400 LH Arch Liner Front £33.63 ex vat

Seat belt got from scrappy for 15-20 pounds.
Fuel Screw Cap again scrappy for 5 pounds.

I swear Nissan make prices up! I rang them not 2 weeks ago to get a price on a driver seat belt and they were after 54 quid ex vat, got one for 25 quid off ebay instead but didnt think it was bad from Nissan. they said there was a 2 week lead time on them though.

£35 for a towing eye cover ,for a p2 bumper.

Bargain. ;) Mine was £44 I think, although it may have been £35 if I got a black one rather than painted...

Those ducts behind the front bumper (one goes beside the towing eye bit), I got quoted like £86 for those. It was crap like this that had a helping hand in putting me off Jap cars TBH...

I work in a parts dept at a Landrover dealer. It also has a bodyshop that does loads of different cars.
Just ordered a middle and rear exhaust system for a rav4 from Toyota £830 plus vat!
Rear brake shoe set for landrover 90 1985-1994 - Landrover price £264 plus vat! Allmakes brand new £10 plus vat lol. You should hear some of the prices for bits for my Z32. Horrendous!

My best one on the Almera was £345+ VAT for a driveshaft  , not bad with the primera so far only had a keyfob repair kit £7.86 they're £14 on ebay si quite pleased, but they wanted £75 to reprogram the fob, which I managed to do myself with help from instructions from NPOC

The parts for those aren't quite as shocking from what I've seen, although I've heard of labour charges of like £80+ an hour...
mate works for Lexus the labour there is £110 a hour
Nissan is about £85 a hour so just think about Merc's and BMW's and etc

mates doing a mk2 Lexus GS at the moment and labour alone was almost 1k (8/9 hours) and then parts on top of that. loads of work to be done he said he seen the bill its almost up to hitting 3k

my dads aircon in his LS screwed up so my dads mate checked the kompressor and rad which was fine so it must of been something else. he took it to lexus and they charged him £1600 for that
(faulty sensor that the computer was not picking up) so they were there fault finding counting by aprox £2 a min

£80+ an hour around here is fucking high, although it wouldn't surprise me if nowadays they're onto £100+!

On the other hand, the timing chain for the Almera was about £90, which I thought was thoroughly reasonable...

The company I work for is a Land Rover dealer, and the labour charges are £115/hour for a Land Rover and £160/hour for a Range Rover

The workshop is always packed out though.

Considering the highest paid mechanic is on £18-20/hour, thats one hell of a proifit margin.
